California farmers began growing pistachios in the 1960s, and are now considered among the world’s best, outshining even esteemed Iranian nuts.

Among the first to plant pistachios in California, David Fiddyment helped pioneer the industry starting back in 1968. David designed the first and only mobile hulling machine that allowed pistachios to be harvested and hulled out in the field. This invention ensures the pistachios are cleaner and of gourmet quality while preserving peak freshness and flavor. David's namesake is now the president of the company, with both of his daughters holding seats on the board.
